Overview
Inspectlet provides session recording and analytics tools designed to help websites understand user behaviour and resolve usability issues. The platform records videos of visitors as they navigate a site, capturing mouse movements, scrolls, clicks, and keypresses to give visibility into user interactions. Features include session replay capabilities that allow teams to filter recordings by visitor type, traffic source, pages visited, events triggered, or conversion status. Users can track conversion funnels to pinpoint where drop-offs occur and where potential conversions are lost.
The platform incorporates automated AI capabilities to analyse recordings in the background without requiring manual configuration. AI Session Insights automatically assigns an interest score to each session based on anomalies, user frustration signals, conversion behavior, and engagement depth, surfacing the most relevant recordings to the top of the dashboard. The system detects specific events such as rage clicks, JavaScript and API errors, conversion drop-offs, form abandonment, unusual navigation paths, and engagement anomalies. An interactive AI analyst narrates sessions in real time, highlights pain points, and allows users to ask questions about their analytics data in plain English.
Additional tools within the toolkit include dynamic heatmaps that support eye-tracking, click, and scroll analysis on dynamic content, as well as an A/B testing tool featuring a visual editor and goal tracking. Form analytics help teams understand why forms are abandoned by tracking conversion rates, hesitation, and ignored fields. The platform also offers feedback surveys for Net Promoter Score collection, automated error logging with stack traces, and network monitoring. Setup involves adding a lightweight JavaScript snippet to the website, enabling tracking data to appear in the dashboard.
